Finally, the neighbour’s cherry tree has blossomed.
I can see this scenery from my kitchen window.
I can eat with this luxurious view.
I enjoy this scene with all sorts of different birds.
One day, I was weeding in the yard.
I saw something moving in the weeds!!
It kind of freaked me out a little,
but I couldn’t figure out what it was.
So, I observed it for a while.
I thought that maybe it is the head of the garden snake or moth?
but it looks kind of chubby, I was just wondering what it is.
I could tell, he was looking at me too.
I felt that he was feeling “Oh, well, I better move.”
Then unwillingly he moved little by little toward deeper grass area, about 10cm away.
Can you guess what it is???
Western Toad
I was very surprised.
He was about the size of my palm.
but the toad still grosses me out when I make the picture bigger…
There was no water, it’s just grass everywhere.
I don’t know how he got there.
I’ve been living in this house for more than 16 years,
but I’ve never seen one before.
I noticed that his eyelids have a different colour,
so I could tell when he closes his eyes.
He started to look cute to me just a little.
The place he moved to has deep-seated roots in the grass,
so he couldn’t hide completely, but he was trying,
moving his butt, trying to go deeper.
It looked very funny, but I knew he was trying to hide.
but this place is dangerous for him
because my hubby will go through with the lawnmower.
So, I told him that he needs to move from there.
I asked my hubby to transfer him to the Lilac bush.
He wasn’t excited about moving.
As if he said, it could be better but this will do.
I went to check on him, but he was nowhere to be found.
By the way,
the Summit is over.
I was sooooo nervous and didn’t go as much I would like,
but finally, it’s over.
